Project Management as a tool for successful transforming in education

On December 26, 2023, under the return phase activities Vesna Bucevska gave a presentation on the topic “Project Management as a tool for successful transforming in education” and shared the knowledge and experience gained during the secondment to OpenCom in Arezzo, Italy with the colleagues and members of the Project team from Faculty of Economics in Skopje. Vesna Bucevska emphasized the importance of project management as a sustainable pedagogic device to support students’ employability. At the beginning of the presentation, she gave an overview of project management phases, then she explained thoroughly the structure of PRINCE2, Project Management Method with four integrated elements. She focused on the key deliverables of Project Management, stressed out the importance of defining the objective of the project, allocation of resources as well as allocation of the roles so that everyone knows what their responsibilities are and how they fit into the overall picture. Project management can help students develop soft skills needed for good collaboration and teamwork, as well as problem-solving. Critical thinking will help learners identify and overcome obstacles that may arise in their academic work at an earlier stage than those who are less able to think critically and, in this way, can enhance students’ employability and foster their entrepreneurial spirit.
