USE IPM Info Day – Martin Marinkov’s Lecture
At the Faculty of Economics in Niš, a guest lecture on modern ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and their application in business was successfully held as part of the USE IPM project.
The lecture was delivered by Martin Marinkov, Project Manager at Coming and an alumnus of the Faculty of Economics in Niš. He shared his extensive professional experience and career path with students – from entry-level junior positions to a managerial role in the IT sector. He particularly emphasized the importance of the knowledge and skills gained during his studies, highlighting how the foundations acquired at the faculty contributed to his professional development and career advancement.
Through an interactive presentation, students had the opportunity to learn about the significance of integrated information systems in modern business, as well as the role of ERP solutions in enhancing organizational efficiency and sustainability, optimizing business processes, and supporting high-quality managerial decision-making. The lecturer also provided insight into the practical implementation of ERP systems, highlighting both the challenges and benefits of their application in various business environments.
During the lecture, the basic concepts of ERP systems, their architecture, and key functionalities were presented, along with concrete examples from business practice. This enabled students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world labor market requirements and current trends in digital transformation.
The lecture was conducted in a dynamic and interactive atmosphere, with active student participation. Through discussions, students had the opportunity to receive additional clarifications and first-hand advice.
