USE IPM Info Day – Lecture by Svetlana Stefanović, LEONI
Svetlana Stefanović, Operational Excellence Head of Leoni Serbia, was a guest at the Faculty of Economics, where she delivered an inspiring and insightful lecture to students on modern business practices and corporate competitiveness.
During her talk, Svetlana shared her professional experience and highlighted the key factors that drive the success of companies in both global and local markets. Special emphasis was placed on continuous improvement and the optimization of business processes, as well as on the importance of efficient resource management in a dynamic business environment.
In this context, the central topic of the lecture was the lean concept—an approach focused on eliminating waste, increasing customer value, and continuously improving processes. Students were introduced to the fundamental lean principles and tools, supported by concrete examples of their application in the automotive industry, where Leoni operates as a major international player.
It was particularly emphasized that the lean philosophy is not limited to the business sector, but that its principles can also be successfully applied in everyday life—through better time management, prioritization, and more effective decision-making.
The lecture attracted strong interest among students, who actively participated in the discussion, asked questions, and had the opportunity to hear firsthand advice and recommendations for career development in a modern business environment. It also provided clear insight into how theoretical knowledge can be applied in real-world settings, as well as the importance of flexibility, continuous learning, and readiness for change in long-term professional development.
