Intellectual property rights
On 23rd of May Brikena Leka and Arjan Tushaj demonstrated the general legal principles on Intellectual property and IP in contracting with public authorities: the case of space programmes. Also, presentation highlighted the Part II of ESA’s General Clauses and Conditions for ESA Contracts, particularly ESA requests user rights for itself and for the European space industry limited to use in public space programmes. The presentation concluded that ESA bureaucracy is not always helpful and/or quick in responding to official requests, but actions needed during proposal preparation, contract negotiation and reporting.
