- Enhanced reputation and attractiveness of the academic institutions. The Project will result in the establishment of the EI centers, whose main role will be to attract and develop innovators in both the academic and non-academic (business) sector. By establishing EI centers, the project will enable effective institutional reform of academic institutions in the widening countries.
Economics impact includes:
- Strengthened ability of academic institutions to expand cooperation with business sector. By linking the academia and businesses, the project will serve as an interface for improved academia-business communication and will promote mobility between different sectors which will overcome the existing sectoral barriers.
Societal impact includes:
- Enhanced possibilities for youth employment in widening countries. Training programmes for USE IPM trainees will revert brain drain into a brain gain for the widening countries.
- Bridging the gender gap in the research, innovation and entrepreneurship. The project envisages participation of at least 50% of female researchers and talents. As the field of entrepreneurship and innovation is male dominated, the project will affirm women participation and thus will improve gender balance in entrepreneurship.
