Round table, FEUN

On October 17, 2025, at the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš (FEUN), as a part of the International Scientific Conference “Future economy: sustainability, innovation and AI”, the round table entitled “Driving Corporate Responsibility and Entrepreneurship: R&I Strategy and Action Plans” was held (http://www.eknfak.ni.ac.rs/ISC2025/dl/Agenda.pdf). On this round table, a draft of the Research and Innovation (R&I) Strategy at FEUN (strategic priorities, vision and mission of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, key conclusions and recommendations) was presented. This event is one of the key activities within the Horizon Europe project “Up-skilling Researchers for Sustainable Entrepreneurship based on Innovation Process Management – USE IPM” (HORIZON-WIDERA-2022-TALENTS-03-01), funded by the European Union, which is contained in Work Package 2.

The round table represented a valuable opportunity to inform more than 80 participants (policymakers, academic community, researchers, representatives of the business sector, and other stakeholders) on the key aspects of the R&I Strategy and to get valuable feedback from them. The comments regarding the presented draft of the Strategy were very positive, suggesting that the project team at FEUN is on the right course to create an effective R&I Strategy for enhancing the entrepreneurial and R&I ecosystem in Serbia.

The project team from FEUN will continue working on the R&I Strategy by integrating useful recommendations from all stakeholders, as well as recommendations from all partner institutions on the USE IPM project. This will result in a harmonised approach to research and innovation strategies in all Balkan countries participating in this project and an enhancement of the entrepreneurial and R&I ecosystem in this region.
