Innovation Process Indicators

During the study visit to Manchester, London and Liverpool, August – September 2024, the participants of academic staff member of Tirana University, Brikena Leka, PhD, Associate Professor, and Arjan Tushaj, PhD, Associate Professor, involved to share the talents’ experience and transfer knowledge, skills and best practices towards other members team of University of Tirana through identifying the innovation indicators throughout the innovation process. This activity organized by Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, in person on 30th September, 2024.

Their presentation demonstrates that it is so significant to have accurate indicators to evaluatethe innovation projects and improving the evaluation process of innovations. Meanwhile, analyzing and measuring the innovation process from a quantitative perspective is needed for controlling the performance of innovations. Though, more concrete indicators are needed to improve front-end innovation decisions in order to managers, researchers, and policymakers to better understand the innovation process. The core goal of this presentation focusestoincrease the understanding of the indicator landscape and to complement the various stages of the innovationprocess with relevant indicators. We demonstrate the identified indicators into company specific, particularly: (i) culture; (ii) strategy; (iii) structure; and (iv) R&D activities and contextual dimensions, particularly: (i) network; (ii) market; (iii) internationalization; and(iv) environment.
