Innovation Process Indicators
Milica Marić, Teaching Assistant at the University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Economics, presented on “Study visit to Manchester and London, 17 August – 1 September, 2024: Innovation Process Indicators.” During this presentation, Milica discussed innovation leadership, focusing on the process of technological innovation and its management as outlined by John Bessant. The primary focus was on identifying the structures and behaviors that enable organizations to continuously improve their offerings and implement radical changes. This includes balancing product and process innovation to foster capabilities that sustain innovation efforts.
Milica also highlighted the UK’s innovation indicators, specifically the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), which have played a significant role in helping businesses—particularly SMEs—innovate and grow. These partnerships are evaluated regularly and have contributed an estimated £1.7 to £2.3 billion to the UK economy between 2010 and 2020. Additionally, she discussed the Intrapreneurial Knowledge Exchange Enterprise Pathway (IKEEP) model, which is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to drive innovation and bring new perspectives to businesses. The visit emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in driving sustainable innovation.
