Technology Transfer
After the secondment to Belgium, on May 23, 2024, Danijela Stošić Panić delivered presentation on Technology Transfer. After pointing out the differences in the roles of the university as support for research and as support for technology transfer, the purpose, content and appearance of technology transfer from the university to the non-academic, primarily business community, were explained. Key elements of the university technology transfer were analyzed within the so-called VMOST framework, focusing on vision, mission, objectives, strategies, and tactics for technology transfer. Elaborating the third mission of modern universities, the key features of academic entrepreneurship were presented. Finally, the Cyclic Innovation Model (CIM)was explained as a useful way to capture the factors of innovation management success and failures. The four main nodes of the CIM model are analyzed in details on a KU Leuven technology transfer case study.
