USE IPM at the BE MED Meeting

Within the framework of the BeMed+ project, which aims to reduce plastic pollution in the Mediterranean, the Institute for Nature Conservation in Albania (INCA) and Surfrider Foundation Europe organized on 14 November 2025a local stakeholder consultation meeting. During the event, Elona Pojani presented the USE IPM project, outlining its main objectives and its contribution to efforts aimed at reducing single-use plastics through the promotion of sustainable entrepreneurship practices. The presentation highlighted the importance of cooperation between local authorities, the HoReCa sector (hotels, restaurants, cafés), and sports tourism stakeholders to support sustainable solutions in the pilot area of the Shkumbin River basin, with a particular focus on the municipalities of Elbasan and Librazhd.
